Pencil skirts, and fitted jackets are our go-to staples, and the long time designer friends, John Muscat and Jennifer Wells of Line Knitwear knocked those out of the park. The sleek silhouettes along the use of a wide range of fabrics and materials made it a collection to remember. It was all about the classics though- fuzzy crops tops and silk pants also made an appearance. There are also some stunning dresses that we’re sure are on every girl’s list already.
What the duo did really, really well is intricately weave fabric, shape, and colour in each piece- and not only that, but they also combined two textures that normally don’t work together. The collection set the right tone at the onset with the perfect pairing of a fuzzy angora top and a sleek leather skirt. There certainly wasn’t a lack of colour either as the models paraded down the runway in everything from the whitest whites to midnight blacks, along with brilliant pops of red, and pink visually delighting us along the way.
We saw lace and knit looking like they’ve always belonged together, and touchable velour and angora paired with the sleekest leather lines. There is something for everyone in the Line Knitwear FW’14 collection- ranging from angora short shorts to floor length knit sweaters along with everything in between. The duo sure knows how to create the ultra feminine silhouette.
