The Power Of Style

Not all of us understand how important our style is when it comes to showing the world our intentions, and how we feel about them and ourselves. Our style is the first opportunity that we have to exhibit what we stand for, and the first impression that we make when we walk into any room.

As a consultant, I spend a lot of time on the road, and finding the right wardrobe to take me is very important so, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect premium line that help create that signature style that I call my own.

One of my favorite new lines that’s been getting a lot of play in my work wardrobe is the Willow & Thread, a premium career line, sold at Reitman’s. They have the building blocks that are so important in my wardrobe. As you can see, they understand how the power of style can have an impact on your life, and career. Their power of style campaign allows women to be empowered through the way that they dress, allowing your wardrobe to define you the instant that you step in a room. It’s a beautiful notion- having control over how you’re percieved.

And finding those key versatile pieces helps makes packing and looking polished while jetlagged that much easier. I mean, being able to stand in a room full of people is certainly more pleasant when you look like you have your act together.

My wardrobe, just like anyone else’s, has certainly evolved over the course of my career. I firmly believe in editing, and curating your work wardrobe to be able to define how I present myself. Gone are the days of throwing on whatever I can get my hands on in the morning, and replaced by  key signature pieces that I build entire outfits on.

Some of my favorite pieces are the key basics that are incredibly versatile.

I can’t even begin to explain how much easier getting ready for a 4 day trip to Europe is when I know what pieces I can pack, and how I can mix and match different items to create multiple outfits.
