Hats, horses, and horseshoes, oh my!
The 155th Queen’s Plate event this past Sunday was definitely a royal affair. The sun was shining over the Woodbine racetrack as fashionistas channeled their inner Kate Middleton and strutted their posh outfits.

The annual Hats and Horseshoes party was the hot ticket on the walking ring. Food trucks and live music were all part of the pre-show festivities leading up to the VIP Flare tent.
Invited guests were dressed to nines in pastel toned summer dresses, matching accessories and of course sporting over the top- and oh so amazing- fascinators and hats. Butterflies and peacock feathers were at the top of the fascinator and hat craze this year. Men were also just as fashionable, most of them opting for a preppy chic look with shorts, a button down shirt and vest, and a bow-tie and straw hat to pull the whole look together.
Milliner David Dunkley’s beautiful creations were also on site for partygoers to try on, as well as a DIY station inside the VIP tent for guests to create their own floral inspired fascinators.
These fashionistas sipped on their cocktails and snapped pictured at the photo booth station before placing their bets and making their way to the racetrack to catch the big-ticket horse races.
Lexi Lou won the $1-million race that afternoon. Bravo!
