What can we say about Jason Wu’s Spring 2014 collection that hasn’t been said already? On the one hand, it was refreshing to see Wu back in his element and producing a collection that seems to be so classically him, but on the other, it seem to have almost no creativity attached to it.
The mostly white, ivory, and grey collection stuck to the slender silhouette, and rarely brought anything original to the table. The pieces, although, are perfect to blend into your everyday wardrobe. The young designer seems to have listened to his critics a touch too closely, and left the high flying creative pieces at the door. We loved how he combined the pieces that he did have, such as jackets and chiffon tops creating the elegant feel. Our favorites were the grey sequins dresses by far! Regardless of whether Jason Wu designs another highly creative collection of not, we’re still going to pick up a few pieces from this collection.
