Mackage Montreal based designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan believe that outwear is an integral element of fashion and when it comes to layering, a coat isn’t part of an outfit-it becomes the outfit itself- and we couldn’t agree more! The duo that first launched their ready-to-wear collection back in 2010, decided to kick things up a notch by debuting their fierce Fall 2013 collection at Toronto Fashion Week last month.
Leather accents, leather detailing and leather pants and skirts- Mackage stayed true to its leatherwork background this season, all the while pushing the fashion envelope.
Urban glam meets the great outdoors seemed to be the inspiration behind this collection, as the models strutted down the runway in sleek pulled back hair, leather pants, fur vest, and of course amazing outerwear pieces. This collection targets a city http://imagineear.com/pharmacy/ girl who loves to look sexy without trying to hard, and chooses pieces that are both practical and fashion forward.
Every look showcased a different outwear piece- all of which were beautifully tailored but maintained that element of versatility Mackage is known for. From floor length trench coats to bright orange pea jackets, these coats were definitely an essential part of each outfit. The rest of the ready-to-wear collection (for both men and women) featured classic fall pieces with pops of gorgeous merlot, red, and orange.
One of my favorite looks of the collection was a leather pant with ruffling at the waist, paired with a fur-paneled knit, topped off with a floor length beige trench. This look just screams urban glam without trying to hard. Bring it on the cold weather!
