Burberry is the staple of British fashion, the epitome of class and sophistication. This season Burberry decided to move towards very feminine and soft girly looks for its Spring 2014 collection. Pastels and lace are what define the collection- and what’s not to love about that? It was like watching different flavours of sorbet strut down the runway, each one more beautiful than the next. The Kensington Garden show featured fresh and very spring inspired looks, moving away from its usual rigidness and embraced a softer silhouette.
This Burberry Spring 2014 girl definitely has a little 1960s flare to her. If the pastel colours, sheer blouses and monochrome looks weren’t enough, the round white rimmed sunnies were totally Twiggy inspired.
A twist on tradition is what these looks are all about. Even the classic Burberry trench coat is looser and has a softer feel to it (and it comes in amazing pastel colours like this lilac one right here!)
Creative Director Christopher Bailey’s soft touch is very much a breath of fresh air- well done.
