Have you missed me?
If you following ChicDarling on Twitter (shame on you if you don’t), you’ll know that I’ve been at London Fashion Week with a UK Press Pass and I am here to report back to my fellow fash pack.
There was so much going on, and there’s so much that I want to show you that I couldn’t possibly do it in one post! So for the weeks that follow I’ll be doing a post a week on some of my London Fashion Week favourites, including the outfits I wore.
First up we have my first day at the gorgeous Somerset House, which was actually day 3 of London Fashion Week but due to my busy work schedule I could only make it half way through the week.
I wore my boyfriend’s shirt which is from Topman, a faux fur gillet from eBay, my favourite Zara snake print velvet trousers, my ever trusty ASOS ankle boots and a clutch from a new favourite brand of mine Monday I’m in Love (definitely reccommend you take a look at them if you like your bags and clutches to be totally unique).
Today was the day I fell in love with two brands at the exhibitions – Wood Wood and Beautiful Soul London.
Let’s start with Wood Wood.
A brand I’d never heard of until I walked through their exhibition space, and a brand I can’t believe I’d never heard of until I walked through their exhibition space.
Founded in 2002 in Copenhagen, Denmark, directed by Brian SS Jensen and Karl-Oskar Olsen, Wood Wood has worked with EASTPAK, Nike, Adidas and Barbour.
If you go to the womenswear part of their website now you’ll notice everything is heavily influenced by street style and practicality but is ultimately very chic. And their new collection is still very chic, it’s practical and there is a hint of streetwear, but there’s something about it that makes you think only an independent woman who knows what she wants and how to get it would wear. I don’t know whether it’s the gorgeous textures, the deep burgundies or whether it’s the rich wool or edgy leather, but this collection is so top notch.
Beautiful Soul London was another brand which I had never heard of and which I was surprised to have not had.
I walked into their smaller exhibition room and was just overwhelmed with such a freshness. Beautiful Soul is a luxury British womenswear label based in Notting Hill, London. The label’s signature is a “blend of timeless evolving style with true global consideration.” It’s typically English but is something that I feel appeals to any woman with an eye for gorgeous pieces; it’s clean, it’s refreshing, and it’s sophisticated.
I MEAN COME ON!!
I would love for you to check these two brands out and let me know what you think. Am I just fangirling like crazy or are these fantastic brands?
